At the Old Davie School Historical Museum, we are always working on new projects, but we can’t do it alone. We greatly rely on the help of all our volunteers to accomplish everything we do here at the Old Davie School. And we can ALWAYS use more help. There are many different ways to get involved in your community! Call (954) 797-1044, or e-mail Educator@olddavieschool.org for more information about the different volunteer opportunities at the Old Davie School. Do you love learning and talking about history? Costumed Tour Guides lead groups of all ages through the museum, explaining the significance of the historical artifacts in our collection. Most tours are through the Old Davie School's Step Back In Time program, and take place weekday mornings. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary—all training will be provided. Do you love a party? From the bi-monthly Art Socials to annual events like the Back to School Dinner and Generations of Taste, there’s always something special going on at the Old Davie School. Special Events volunteers can help out in a variety of ways, from cooking to decorating to helping out during the event itself. Do you have other skills or talents? Volunteers are needed for a variety of other tasks at the Old Davie School. |
