Seminoles Look Back: Our People in Postcards
A Traveling Exhibit from the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum
October 19-November 24
Taken from the collections of the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum at the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation, these original postcards and their enlargements provide a glimpse of Florida Seminole life in the first half of the 20th Century. These postcards offer everyone a significant view of aspects of Florida Seminole culture, their former lifeways and past events. Sections of the exhibit focus on Cory Osceola, canoeing, Seminole dress, alligator wrestling and several of the postcard photographers and their Seminole images.
